Horseshoe jewelry hit the scene in 1860 with some criticism.  Although women, slightly more liberated, took part in sports like riding and hunting it took quite a few years for this trend to catch on.  But by the 1890s all kinds of "sporting" jewelry was popular.

The Gwyneth Ring is made of oxidized sterling silver, a 14k gold band with white diamonds.  The horseshoe measures approximately 3/8".  Size 7.  Handmade in Los Angeles, CA.
